Senior UX Researcher

Job description

Veyor’s mission is to make the construction industry more connected, efficient and collaborative.

Our product is a custom collaborative scheduling software for construction sites and loading docks.

Our clients include the largest construction firms and building operators in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. We have been growing fast and have recently closed a significant capital raise to help fuel our next phase of growth.

We are looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our Product Design team and play a critical role in shaping our product experience and help us disrupt the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced UX researcher with UX design skills who wants to play a hands-on role in building intuitive solutions for our users that also deliver on business results.

The construction industry is one of the last frontiers for digital solutions, and we have demonstrated that we can build solutions that the industry loves. Very few opportunities exist to get in at the ground level with a company with so much potential.

Do you want to help us take our product to the next level?

What will I be Doing?

User Strategy and Research Ops

- Shape our strategy for collecting customer feedback (e.g. ad-hoc, feedback form inside the product, yearly surveys and/or interviews...)

- Setup our user research repository using Dovetail or a similar tool (project structure, tags, best practices...)

- Manage our early adopters program (users that accept to use our features before they are available for everyone else in exchange to giving us feedback)

- Build relationships with key clients and users to help improve the recruitment process of research participants

- Help shape the design culture at Veyor by championing UX and User research across the company

- Coach other members of the team in how to prepare, run and analyse user research

Hands-on User Research

- Collaborate with product management to understand what we know/don't know and identify research needs to inform the roadmap

- Take specific research questions/needs from the product team and design a study to answer them

- Prepare the script, recruit participants and run interviews or other research methods

- Analyse and document insights from customer interviews, client meetings and other research sessions

UX Design

- Prepare wireframes, mockups or prototype to illustrate recommendations from the research
- Contribute to the UX design process for new features or product improvements (problem definition, research, workflows, mockups, prototypes, dev support and user feedback)

- Use customer feedback, usage metrics and business/product metrics or KPIs to measure the impact of your work, identify opportunities of improvement and iterate on solutions

- Collaborate with cross-functional product teams and the rest of the organisation to achieve solutions that are right for our customers, deliver on business results and adhere to the product vision
