Veyor’s mission is to make the construction industry more connected, efficient and collaborative.

Our product is a custom collaborative scheduling software for construction sites and loading docks.

Our clients include the largest construction firms and building operators in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. We have been growing fast and have recently closed a significant capital raise to help fuel our next phase of growth.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Product Design team and play a critical role in shaping our product experience and help us disrupt the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an end-to-end UX designer with strong research skills who wants to play a hands-on role in designing and delivering intuitive solutions for our users that also deliver on business results.

The construction industry is one of the last frontiers for digital solutions, and we have demonstrated that we can build solutions that the industry loves. Very few opportunities exist to get in at the ground level with a company with so much potential.

What will I be Doing?

  • Own the end-to end UX design process for new features or product improvements (problem definition, research, workflows, mockups, prototypes, dev support and user feedback)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional product teams and the organisation to achieve solutions that are right for our customers, deliver on business results and adhere to the product vision

  • Design and ensure we deliver crafted, intuitive and engaging experiences for our customers

  • Use customer feedback, usage metrics and business/product metrics or KPIs to measure the impact of your work, identify opportunities of improvement and iterate on solutions

  • Contribute to the growth of other designers and researchers by participating in critiques, providing peer-to-peer feedback and mentoring more junior members of the team

  • Contribute to our design system (UI components, UX patterns...) to help us grow and improve it

  • Help shape the design culture at Veyor by championing UX and User research across the company

  • 5+ years professional experience working as a UX designer (Bonus points if you have worked in cross-functional teams and/or in a product-led organisation)

  • Background, BA or Ms in Design, UX, HCI, or related field preferred but not required

  • Interest in solving complex product design problems from inception to launch

  • Comfortable making design decisions based on a deep understanding of the users (their needs and motivations, their context...), our product vision, roadmap and business goals/KPIs

  • Proficient with UX/UI design and prototyping tools (Figma, sketch...)

  • Experience conducting user research (interviews, ethnographic or contextual enquiries, usertesting, surveys... ) and extracting actionable insights to inform product/design decisions

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships and collaborate effectively with product, engineering, sales and marketing

  • Effective communicator across all levels and teams (written and verbal)

  • Ability to build trusted relationships with customers, peers and other team members

  • Previous experience in a startup environment or high-growth company a plus

  • Knowledge of the construction industry or loading docks is beneficial but not required
